The Overview
Two Delay Lines, Five Topologies
Precision Delay Mod uses two independently timed delays with shared feedback, filtering, and modulation controls. Mode changes their routing: separate recirculating delays, cross-feedback, serial ping-pong, or short-delay chorus and flanger configurations.
Each delay has a modulation oscillator. Waveform and phase-offset choices determine whether the two sides move together or diverge, making the processor useful for both obvious echoes and stereo thickening. Sync can tie delay and modulation timing to the DAW.
Standard Versus Long
This standard version allows one-second delays in the three echo modes. Precision Delay Mod L extends those modes to three seconds but otherwise uses the same controls, with a higher UAD-2 memory requirement. Chorus and Flanger retain their shorter mode-specific ranges.
Use separate A/B times and pan positions to establish the pattern, then add feedback and filtering. For a send/return setup enable Wet Solo; for a track insert use Mix. Input mute buttons let you feed selected phrases into an existing delay pattern.

The Controls
Delay Routing
Mode selects the feedback topology:
- Dual Delay: Each delay feeds itself.
- Crossover Delay: Each output feeds the opposite delay.
- Ping Pong: Audio enters A, then passes to B, whose feedback returns to A.
- Chorus / Flanger: Use the dual topology with shorter timing ranges suited to modulation.
Delay A/B set separate times. In this standard version, the three echo modes allow up to 1 second per delay; Chorus allows 125 ms and Flanger 45 ms. Switching to a shorter-range mode can discard a longer time setting.
Mute A/B stop new signal entering a delay. Link gangs the timing and mute controls while preserving an existing time offset.
Modulation
- Rate: Sets LFO speed from 0 to 30 Hz; zero disables movement.
- Depth: Sets how strongly delay time is modulated, from 0 to 100%.
- LFO: Chooses sine or triangle modulation with 0-, 90-, or 180-degree phase separation between the two oscillators.
- Sync: Locks both delay times and modulation rates to the host tempo.
Feedback and Filtering
Recirculation changes feedback strength. Positive and negative values use normal or inverted feedback polarity. Echo modes display this as T60 decay time; Chorus and Flanger use a percentage.
High Pass removes low frequencies from the wet delay input at 12 dB/octave. Low Pass removes highs at 6 dB/octave. Both cover 20 Hz to 22 kHz and have an Off position; neither filters the dry source.
Output
Pan A/B position the two wet outputs in stereo. Pan Link couples their movement for spread adjustments. In a mono-output instance these controls become independent Gain A/B instead, and cannot be linked.
Mix blends dry and wet, with negative settings reversing wet polarity. Wet Solo overrides Mix and outputs only the processed signal for an auxiliary return.
Level provides -25 to +15 dB of output adjustment. Power bypasses the processor.
