Brigade Chorus
Adds bucket-brigade chorus thickening or pitch-modulated vibrato, with classic split wet/dry stereo routing or a wider dual-channel mode.

The Overview
Analog Modulation in Two Modes
Brigade Chorus models the bucket-brigade delay circuit of the CE-1 pedal. Its character comes from both the modulated delay and the modeled analog signal path. Chorus blends modulation with the source for thickness and movement; Vibrato provides a more obvious pitch-wobble effect. These are alternative modes, not two simultaneous effects.
Stereo Behavior Matters
Classic mode follows the hardware-style stereo arrangement: the inputs are summed, with dry sound on the left and effected sound on the right. Dual mode instead processes each side independently and offsets the modulation between channels, preserving a different relationship to a stereo source.
Use it for guitar, bass, electric piano, vocals, or other parts that need movement rather than a distinct echo. Set Level with the Signal LED in view, choose the modulation mode, and then adjust its active controls. The pedal's Normal setting stops modulation but retains modeled coloration and level control; Power provides the full unprocessed comparison.

The Controls
Mode and Bypass
- Vibrato/Chorus: Chooses the modulation type. Clicking the corresponding mode label or LED also selects it.
- Normal/Effect: Switches the chosen modulation off or on. Normal is not a complete plug-in bypass: the modeled signal path and Level control remain active.
- Power: Bypasses the whole processor for an uncolored comparison.
Chorus
Chorus Intensity changes both modulation depth and rate together. Turn it up for a stronger, faster chorus. It has no effect while Vibrato is selected.
Vibrato
- Depth: Sets the size of the pitch modulation.
- Rate: Sets its speed.
These controls operate only in Vibrato mode. The chorus and vibrato rate ranges are different; changing modes is not simply a change of knob labels.
Level and Indicators
Level sets the signal level within the modeled pedal and continues to work in Normal mode. Reduce it if unwanted distortion occurs.
The Signal LED warns of high signal levels; a continuously bright indication can accompany distortion. The Rate LED flashes with modulation when the effect is active and remains lit in Normal mode.
Stereo Mode
- Classic: Sums stereo input to mono, sends dry audio left, and the effected signal right.
- Dual: Uses a separate mono-style pedal path for each input channel. Each output contains its own dry/processed blend, with a 90-degree offset between the two modulation oscillators.
The stereo selector has no effect in a mono-in/mono-out instance. Choose routing while listening to the full mix: Classic can relocate an existing stereo image rather than simply widen it.
